Part Number Boosting and Focused-Search Identifiers
Help shoppers find products by SKU, UPC, model number, and other identifiers.
Overview
If your shoppers search by codes such as SKUs, part numbers, or model numbers, Prism can prioritize exact identifier matches.
Part number boost- Open Settings and find the Search Tuning card.
- Enable Part Number Boost.
- Set the boost multiplier and choose the metafield that holds the part number.
- Optionally enable alphanumeric normalization so dashes and spaces are ignored.
- Map identifiers like UPC, EAN, GTIN, ISBN, and model number to the metafields that store them.
- Click Re-index products for Focused Search after changing mappings.
Tip: Alphanumeric normalization is helpful when shoppers type a part number without the dashes you store.
