Setting Up Conditional Filters
Keep a filter out of the way until it's actually relevant.
Overview
A conditional filter stays hidden until a shopper picks a specific value in another filter first. Use it for filters that only make sense for part of your catalog, like showing a "Blade Length" filter only after a shopper selects "Knives" under Product Type.
How to set one up
- Open the filter you want to make conditional and find Conditional Visibility.
- Choose the filter it should depend on.
- Choose which value or values of that filter should trigger it to show.
- Save.
Tip: Keep the filter it depends on enabled and visible. If shoppers can't see or set that filter, they'll never see the value that reveals the conditional one.
